Tests Offered
The International English Language Testing System (IELTS)
IELTS is jointly developed by Cambridge University, British Council and IDP of Australia. Consisting of 4 parts(listening, speaking, reading and writing), it measures the language proficiency of people who want to study or work where English is used as a language of communication. As Ontario’s largest IELTS testing venue certified by Languages Canada, Dewey Institute provides the most up-to-date official IELTS testing information to offer the candidates the best testing experience.
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
Administered by Educational Testing Service, TOEFL test measures the candidate’s ability to use and understand English at the university level in reading, listening, speaking and writing. The test is conducted online and its score is well accepted by the majority of colleges and universities in North America. Dewey Institute Testing Center offers testing-standard facilities to create a comfortable testing environment for the candidates.
SSAT
The SSAT is a standardized test adopted by admission officers to assess the abilities of students seeking to attend private schools in North America. The SSAT measures the basic verbal, math, and reading skills students need for successful performance in private schools. It is an indispensable tool that gives admission professionals an equitable means to assess the applicants’ capabilities and aptitudes. The test has three levels for candidates to choose from: elementary, middle and upper level.
Jurisprudence Exam of CVO
Applicants seeking a General, Restricted, Academic and Post-graduate and Resident Licence in Ontario are required to successfully complete the Jurisprudence Examination. Approved by the College’s Registration Committee, the exam requires applicants to demonstrate knowledge of and the ability to apply relevant Ontario legislation and regulations, as well as College standards and guidelines.
Law School Admission Test (LSAT)
Nearly all American Bar Association (ABA)-approved law schools require the LSAT test as one component of the admission requirements. There are three multiple-choice question types in the LSAT to assess the candidate’s relevant capabilities: reading comprehension questions, analytical reasoning questions, and logical reasoning questions.
Advanced Placement (AP) Test
AP examinations are taken each May by students at participating American, Canadian, and international secondary schools. The tests are the culmination of year-long AP courses. All AP exams (with few exceptions) include both multiple-choice questions and a free-response section in either essay or problem-solving format. Some post-secondary institutions in the US. grant credits or advanced placement based on AP test scores. With its outstanding resources, Dewey Institute is authorized by US College Board to offer AP courses and administer AP tests.
