Autumn Journey: Setting Sail on the Path to Dreams
Every autumn marks the start of university admissions season. Canadian universities eagerly visit high schools, bringing firsthand admission information to help students prepare for their future university life. This year is no exception. On September 24, Nicole, an admissions officer from the University of Ottawa, personally visited Dewey Institute to deliver an enthusiastic and professional admissions presentation to all students and staff. 
During the presentation, Nicole provided a detailed overview of various aspects of the University of Ottawa, from the school’s general profile, popular majors, and career prospects, to the vibrant campus life and the beautiful, comfortable living environment. Every detail allowed the students to experience the unique charm of the University of Ottawa. Through her introduction, the students gained a deeper understanding of the university and became even more excited about their future college life. 
Moreover, on October 5th and 6th, Dewey Institute organized a trip for students to attend the annual Ontario Universities’ Fair held at the Toronto Convention Centre. This event, hosted by the Ontario government, attracted participation from all universities across the province. Over the course of two days, the students explored every corner of the fair, engaging in face-to-face conversations with university admissions representatives to learn about their admission requirements and program offerings. This experience not only broadened the students’ horizons but also helped them gain valuable insights into their future university choices, providing clarity and direction for their academic paths. 
Whether it was the University of Ottawa’s presentation or the experience at the university fair, both served as windows of opportunity for students to glimpse their future. We hope that through these opportunities, everyone can better define their goals and lay a solid foundation for achieving their dreams!
